Tripura gets 9 new road projects worth 2,752 crore

Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari laid the foundation stone for 9 projects in the state of Tripura today worth over Rs 2,752 crore. The event was presided by the Chief Minister of Tripura Biplab Kumar Deb, in the presence of Union MoSs Dr Jitendra Singh and Gen (Retd) Dr V K Singh.

Schools to reopen in Tripura, Puducherry from today

Schools in Tripura and Puducherry will be reopened from today after the long COVID-19 induced break. 

All the government and its aided schools of Tripura would be reopened from today. Students from Class 9 to 12 can attend schools to consult with teachers about their subject-related queries. However, they need to get written consent of their parents first. Fifty per cent of teachers would attend schools on a rotation basis every day. 

Meanwhile, the classes will start in Puducherry only from October 8th. Preparation for commencing the classes including sanitising of the premises and arranging other COVID-19 centric amenities will be done starting from today before the classes begin on 8th. 

Classes will be held for 9th,10th,11th and 12th standards only and that too with the written consent of parents. Also, attendance will not be taken.  

In order to maintain social distancing, students of class 9th and 10th will be having classes for three days in a week and students of class 11th and 12th will have classes for three days.
